The unobtrusive MAUI DHARMA CENTER on Baldwin Avenue is building a new Peace Stupa. You might ask "what is a Stupa?"
Stupas are unique and powerful sacred monuments, which represent the mind of enlightenment - the perfection of wisdom and compassion. They support a spiritual life-style, a teaching without words, which invites peace, love, healing, contentment and knowledge. The very presence of a Stupa in the community dispels negativity and brings benefit and merit to the environment and all beings. The Great Lha Bab Peace Stupa being built on the grounds of the Maui Dharma Center is dedicated to the late All Good Lama Tenzin.
