Queen Mary 2 visits Lahaina Maui

The world's largest ocean liner, the Queen Mary 2, stopped off on the Valley Isle the first week of March, 2006. The massive floating resort anchored off Lahaina, Maui, on it's maiden Pacific voyage. It's designed to carry 3,090 passengers and 1,253 officers and crew, and can speed in excess of 29 knots.

The ship is elegently decorated in the Art Deco style and is a photographer's dream. Eight restaurants, a movie theater, 5 swimming pools, a library and a planetarium are some of the amenities for passengers to enjoy.
